Planning a wedding is stressful…let alone having to accept that Mother Nature has her own plans. However, she is in full effect wrecking havoc in the Fall and Winter. I find Winter weddings the most enchanting out of all I’ve ever seen. Fall packs a punch too with the warm earth tones and reminders of family – new or old – coming together at a wedding.

If you’ve found yourself wondering what color snow boots to buy your bridesmaids as a gift (for function and photo fashion) or gotten a weird look clearing out a pumpkin patch for “decor.” You might have seasonal effect in order.

But rather than fret over the impact your chosen season might have on your overly-planned-primped-and-preened day, embrace it. You might have chosen that time of year BECAUSE of the feeling the season gave you or because you met at that time. What a wonderful season that must – and will forever – be for you two. Don’t run and hide at the thought of snow in Oct. (ugh really!? Boston you kill me!). Wrap your wedding in all things seasonal.

Trust me everyone will “oooh” and “ahhh.” Being with friends and family on a cold evening has a way of doing that to people. So kick-back and relax. Mother Nature will make your wedding one to remember too. In her own way…
